البارحه
يوم
الخلايق
نياما
Last
night
while
people
were
asleep
بيحت
من
كثر
البكا
كل
مكنون
I
cried
my
heart
out
and
revealed
my
every
secret
قمت
أتوجد
له
وانثر
علامه
I
rose
to
moan
for
him
and
shed
my
tears
من
موق
عيني
دمعها
كان
مخزون
From
the
depths
of
my
eyes,
tears
that
had
been
stored
away
ولي
ونتن
من
سمعها
مايناما
And
I
cried
until
whoever
heard
me
could
no
longer
sleep
كني
صويبن
بين
الاظلاع
مطلوع
As
if
I
were
a
pigeon
whose
nest
had
been
stolen
والا
كما
ونت
كثير
السلامه
Or
like
a
dove
that
had
lost
its
mate
خلوه
ربعه
للمعادين
مديون
Leaving
its
companions
in
debt
to
their
enemies
والا
فونت
راعبية
حمامه
Or
perhaps
I
became
a
mourning
dove
غادن
ذكرها
والقوانيص
يرمون
Whose
cooing
brings
tears
to
the
eyes
تسمع
لها
بين
الجرايد
حطاما
You
hear
its
cries
amidst
the
branches
ومن
نوحها
تدعي
المواليف
يبكون
And
its
lamentations
make
the
nightingales
weep
والا
رضيعن
جرعوه
الفطامه
Or
like
an
infant
who
has
been
weaned
too
soon
امه
غدت
قبل
اربعينه
يتمون
Whose
mother
left
before
his
fortieth
day
جاها
القضا
من
بعد
شهر
الصيامه
Fate
struck
after
the
month
of
fasting
صافي
الجبين
بثاني
العيد
مدفون
And
he
was
buried
on
the
second
day
of
Eid
with
his
face
towards
Mecca
حطوا
عليه
من
الخرج
ثوب
خاما
They
covered
him
with
a
fine
cloth
from
Al-Kharj
وقاموا
عليه
من
الترايب
يهلون
And
the
tribes
gathered
around
him
and
mourned
راحوا
بها
حزت
صلاة
الاماما
They
carried
him
to
the
mosque
for
the
funeral
prayer
عند
الدفن
قاموا
له
الله
يدعون
And
as
they
buried
him,
they
prayed
to
God
لرضاه
والجنه
وحسن
الختاما
For
his
forgiveness,
for
Paradise,
and
for
a
good
end
ودموع
عيني
فوق
خدي
يهلون
And
the
tears
streamed
down
my
cheeks
ياقبر
اسقي
ثراك
القماما
O
grave,
water
his
soil
with
the
purest
rain
مزنن
من
الرحمه
عليها
يصبون
May
clouds
of
mercy
pour
upon
him
ياليت
اغصان
النفل
والخزاما
I
wish
that
the
branches
of
the
lotus
and
the
rue
تنبت
على
قبرن
به
اليوم
مدفون
Would
grow
upon
the
grave
where
he
lies
buried
today
مرحوم
ياللي
مامشى
بالملامه
May
he
rest
in
peace,
for
he
never
walked
in
blame
جيران
بيته
راح
مامنه
يشكون
His
neighbors
never
complained
about
him
اخذت
انا
عشرة
اعواما
I
have
spent
ten
years
since
he
left
مامثلهن
بكيمتن
مالها
لون
Years
that
have
passed
like
colorless
shadows
والله
كنه
ياعرب
صرف
عاما
By
God,
it
seems
as
if
I
have
only
spent
a
year
وياعونت
الله
صرف
الايام
وشلون
And
with
the
help
of
God,
I
will
endure
the
days,
no
matter
how
hard
they
may
be
واكثر
اهمومي
من
بزورن
يتاما
My
greatest
sorrow
comes
from
my
orphaned
children
ان
شفتهم
قدام
وجهي
يبكون
When
I
see
them
weeping
before
me
ان
قلت
لاتبكون
قالوا
علاما
If
I
tell
them
not
to
cry,
they
ask
why
نبكي
ويبكي
مثلنا
كلمحزون
We
weep,
they
say,
as
do
those
who
mourn
قلت
السبب
تبكون
قالو
يتاما
I
asked
why
they
wept,
and
they
said,
because
they
are
orphans
قلت
اليتيم
انا
وانتم
تسجون
I
said
that
I
am
the
orphan,
and
you
are
imprisoned
مع
البزور
وكل
جرحن
يلاما
With
the
orphans
and
all
their
wounds
الا
جروح
بخاطري
مايطيبون
But
there
are
wounds
in
my
heart
that
will
never
heal
قمت
اتشكى
عند
ربعن
عدامه
I
sought
consolation
from
my
friends
جوني
على
فرقا
خليلي
يعزون
They
came
to
me
to
offer
their
condolences
for
the
loss
of
my
beloved
قالوا
تزوج
وانس
لامه
بلامه
They
said,
"Marry
and
forget
your
troubles"
ترى
العذاره
عن
بعضهم
يسلون
"After
all,
not
all
women
are
the
same"
اخاف
انا
من
غاديات
الذمامه
But
I
fear
the
women
who
dwell
in
darkness
اللي
على
ضيم
الدهر
مايتاقون
Those
who
do
not
care
about
the
pain
of
others
او
واحده
مع
عقله
بالتماما
Or
perhaps
a
woman
who
is
fully
in
control
of
her
mind
تضحك
واهي
تلدغ
على
الجبد
بالهون
Who
smiles
while
she
bites
your
cheek
with
her
sharp
tongue
توذي
عيالي
بالنهروالكلاما
She
will
hurt
my
children
with
her
words
وانا
تجرعني
من
المر
بصحون
And
she
will
poison
me
with
her
bitter
words
والله
لولا
هالبزور
اليتاما
By
God,
if
it
were
not
for
these
orphaned
children
واخاف
عليهم
من
السكه
يضيعون
And
my
fear
that
they
will
lose
their
way
لقول
كل
البيض
عقبه
حراما
I
would
say
that
all
women
are
forbidden
واصبر
كما
يصبر
على
الحبس
مسجون
And
I
would
be
patient,
as
a
prisoner
is
patient
with
his
imprisonment
عليه
مني
كل
يومن
سلاما
May
God's
peace
be
upon
him
every
day
عدد
حجيج
البيت
واللي
يطوفون
As
many
as
the
pilgrims
to
the
Kaaba
and
those
who
circumambulate
it
صلوا
على
سيد
جميع
الاناما
Peace
be
upon
the
master
of
all
mankind
على
النبي
ياللي
حظرتوا
تصلون
Upon
the
Prophet,
may
those
who
came
to
pray
upon
him
be
blessed
