When I see in old newsreels the planes taking off
Dropping their despicable cargo on a distant target
Then the sound of the engines becomes a disgusting noise
I feel sadness and shame, then my sense is saddened to death

It's a peaceful place
Up there, a world far away
From hate and anger, lonely and free on silver wings
How can it be possible then
That they breathe fire from the sky
And bring a thousandfold death and torment

With Icarus and Daedalus, with Leonardo we have
As long as there have been humans, the dream of flying has been dreamed
And hardly has the wish been fulfilled, which brings us closer to freedom
We already abuse the gift as a weapon and as a murder tool
And when I see what humans have done with it until today
And what they do to humans with it, then I am not proud to be a human
