Un samedi soir dans une auberge
Il y avait un jeune garçon
Qui blasphémait le nom d'la Vierge
Et celui de Jésus qui est si bon

De dire un autre homme au forçat

On lui donnera pour modèle
D'autres qui avaient fait comme lui
Ne fais donc pas de choses pareilles

Mais il souriait à ces paroles
Que lui disaient tous ses amis
Pourquoi toutes ces histoires folles
Tu n'iras pas en paradis

Un peu plus tard dans la soirée
Un terrible accident arriva
Devant toute une foule affolée
Un corps couvert de sang gisait là

On fit demander un prêtre
Et on fit bénir le corps
Soudain, on aperçut sa tête
Le garçon de l'auberge était mort

Amis, gardons tous comme exemple
L'histoire de ce jeune moribond
Qui n'a pas voulu comprendre
Et perdit souvent la raison

L'aventure de ce pauvre garçon

Infamous Destiny

One Saturday night in an inn
There was a young boy
Who blasphemed the name of the Virgin
And that of Jesus who is so good

There is no God as you say
And I am free of myself
But you will get what you deserve
From saying another man to the convict

He will be given as a model
Of others who had done like him
So do not do such things
And in short make a better life

But he smiled at these words
That all his friends told him
Why all these crazy stories
You will not go to paradise

A little later in the evening
A terrible accident happened
In front of a whole crowd in panic
A body covered in blood lay there

A priest was called for
And the body was blessed
Suddenly, his head was seen
The boy from the inn was dead

Friends, let us all remember
The story of this young man dying
Who did not want to understand
And often lost his reason

We who have known the story
Let us walk upright and remain good
Let us keep in our memory
The adventure of this poor boy
