Dnes ráno som stretol anjela
Vyzeral trochu unavene
Ako barová kapela
Keď nad ránom hrá priopitej žene

Oči mal krvavo červené
A páchlo mu trochu z úst
Celkom prekvapivé zistenie
Krídlami vŕzgal ako chrúst

Nebolo mu vôbec do reči
Iba fajčil jednu od druhej
Skúšal som sám seba presvedčiť
Že aspoň líca ma okrúhle

Dnes ráno som stretol anjela
V ruke mal plechovku koly
Je toho na mňa trochu priveľa
Už ani anjeli nie sú ako boli

Angel I

This morning I met an angel
He looked a little tired
Like a bar band
When they play to a drunk woman in the early hours

His eyes were bloodshot red
And his breath was a little sour
Quite a surprising finding
His wings creaked like a beetle

He wasn't in the mood to talk
Just smoking one cigarette after another
I tried to convince myself
That at least my cheeks were round

This morning I met an angel
In his hand was a can of cola
It's all getting a bit much for me
Even angels aren't what they used to be
