Ich bin sauer (Der Wassertropfen)

Ich bin ein kleiner Wassertropfen, aus dem Fels geboren.
Die Quelle hab ich leider, aus den Augen längst verloren.
Ich weiß noch das ich viele Jahre in der Erde schlief,
In einem stillen klaren See, so friedlich und so tief.
Dann zog mich was mit aller Kraft ich konnte mich nicht
Wehren ich fühlte nur, da will mich was in meiner Ruhe stören.
Ich bin sauer,
Schlicht und einfach sauer und ich
Frag mich wo das hinführt auf die Dauer.
Ich bin sauer, schlicht und einfach sauer.
Wohin wird die Reise gehen, wird es schrecklich oder schön,
Werd ich meinen Stillen See vielleicht noch einmal wiedersehen?
Man sagt das so ein Wassertropfen viel erleben kann
Und auch für mich fing alles, wie ein Abenteuer an.
Ein kleines Bächlein zeigte mir den Weg hinab ins Tal.
Es plätscherte und gurgelte und spritzte tausend Mal.
Ich sah die ersten Tiere und auch Menschen dann und wann
Doch schon beim Ersten Dorf da fing es mir zu stinken an.
Ich bin sauer,
Schlicht und einfach sauer und ich
Frag mich wo das hinführt auch die Dauer.
Ich bin sauer schlicht und einfach sauer.
Wohin wird die Reise gehen, wird es schrecklich oder schön,
Werd ich meinen stillen See vielleicht noch einmal wiedersehen?
Was wird aus einem Wassertropfen, der die Stadt erreicht?
Er treibt in einem Fluss dahin und hat's bestimmt nicht leicht.
In jeder Biegung lauert eine andere Gefahr,
Sogar die Fische sind betrübt und gucken sonderbar.
Ich fragte mich was da wohl alles noch im Wasser schwimmt,
Und fühlte wie die Fische das da irgendwas nicht stimmt.
Ich bin sauer schlicht und einfach sauer und
Ich frag mich wo das hinführt auf die Dauer.

So mancher kleine Wassertropfen treibt hinaus aufs Meer,
So wärs auch mir ergangen, wenn ich nicht verdunstet wär.
Ich hab mich mit Millionen Tropfen einfach
Aufgelöst und dann in einer Wolke, lange vor mich hingedöst.
Auf einmal bin ich aufgewacht und fühlte mich so krank
Was stieg da bloß zu uns herauf ein schrecklicher Gestank.
Ich bin sauer schlicht und einfach sauer und
Ich frag mich wo das hinführt auf die Dauer.

Ich habs als kleiner Wassertropfen ziemlich weit gebracht
Doch seht mich an und sagt mir was habt ihr aus mir gemacht?
Davorn kommt ein Gebirge und ein großer grüner Wald,
Wir rücken eng zusammen denn hier hoben wird es kalt.
Ich kann mich kaum noch halten mach mich für den Flug bereit.
Ich falle und ich frag mich ob sich jemand auf mich freut.
Immer näher kommt die Erde wo ich bald versickern werde,
Um den vielen Bodenschichten von der Reise zu berichten und ich
Find mit etwas Glück auch zu meinem stillen, klaren See zurück.

I'm Angry (The Water Droplet)

I am a tiny water droplet, born from the rock's embrace.
The spring, my origin, I've lost sight of, leaving no trace.
For years I slumbered underground, I still recall,
Within a peaceful, crystal lake, serene and deep and small.
Then something pulled me forcefully, I couldn't resist its hold,
I only felt a disruption, my tranquility to scold.
I'm angry,
Plain and simply angry, and I,
Wonder where this journey leads, beneath the endless sky.
I'm angry, plain and simply angry,
Where will this journey take me, will it be dreadful or so sweet,
Will I ever see my peaceful lake again, where once we'd meet?
They say a water droplet can experience so much,
And for me, it all began like an adventure's touch.
A little stream showed me the way down to the valley's heart,
It splashed and gurgled, spraying me, a thousand times we'd part.
I saw the first few animals and people here and there,
But at the very first village, the stench filled the air.
I'm angry,
Plain and simply angry, and I,
Wonder where this journey leads, beneath the endless sky.

Where will this journey take me, will it be dreadful or so sweet,
Will I ever see my peaceful lake again, where once we'd meet?
What becomes of a water droplet, reaching the city's sprawl?
It drifts along a river, facing challenges, big and small.
Around each bend, a new danger, a threat I can't ignore,
Even the fish look troubled, their faces grim and sore.
I wondered what could be swimming, in this water, dark and deep,
And felt like the fish, that something wasn't right, it made me weep.
I'm angry, plain and simply angry, and
I wonder where this journey leads, beneath the endless sky.
I'm angry, plain and simply angry,
Where will this journey take me, will it be dreadful or so sweet,
Will I ever see my peaceful lake again, where once we'd meet?
Many a little water droplet drifts out to the sea,
That would have been my fate, if I hadn't evaporated, you see.
I dissolved with millions of droplets,
And then in a cloud, I slumbered, my worries I forgot.
Suddenly, I awoke, feeling quite unwell,
What was rising up to us, a dreadful, putrid smell.
I'm angry, plain and simply angry, and
I wonder where this journey leads, beneath the endless sky.

Where will this journey take me, will it be dreadful or so sweet,
Will I ever see my peaceful lake again, where once we'd meet?
As a small water droplet, I've come quite far, it's true,
But look at me and tell me, what have you done to me, boo hoo?
Ahead lies a mountain range and a vast green wood,
We huddle close together, for here it will be cold, understood?
I can hardly hold on, preparing for my flight,
I fall and wonder if anyone awaits me with delight.
The earth draws near, where I will soon seep down below,
To tell the many soil layers of the journey I did go, and so,
With a little luck, I'll find my way back to my peaceful, crystal clear lake, you know.
