Había cuidado y custodiado delincuentes día tras día
Aquella noche éramos muchos,
Pero algo fue extraordinario,
Escuchar a un reo cantar no pasaba a diario,
Sé que no fui el único marcado
Pero no podía entender cómo es que detrás de rejas cantaron:
"Santo, Santo, estamos aquí,

Porque aun atados con cadenas,
Sé que nos libertaras"
Fue impresionante
Había un silencio impactante,
Nadie se quejaba,
Solo la voz de aquel cantante,
Yo, me hacia el dormido en el suelo,
No era fácil mucho tiempo en pie,
Y desde luego de momento pensé
En por que cantan tan contentos,
Que es lo que los mueve para cantar en este momento
Y mientras pensaba,
Algo pasaba, me asustaba,
Y de un momento a otro me di cuenta que todo temblaba,
Algo sobrenatural pasaba,
Yo me paraba y tropecé,
Cuando escuche que las cadenas se quebraban,
Cárceles se abrieron,
Me lamente, pensé que se fueron,
Silencio tan tal que hasta creí que murieron,
Debí pagar con mi vida pues no pude cuidarlas,
Solo escuché el sonido de mi espada al desenvainarla,
Cuando estuve a punto de hacerlo
Escuché una voz que dijo:
"No lo hagas que aun todos estamos contigo"
"Santo, Santo, estamos aquí,
Esperando por ti,
Porque aun atados con cadenas,
Sé que nos libertaras"

Y yo, carcelero, al ver que todo esto había sido
Porque aquellos hombres cantaban y oraban a Dios,
Corrí hacia el calabozo más profundo,

"¿Qué debo hacer para ser salvo?"
Y uno de ellos me contesto:

That day my life changed
Let me tell you what happened
Something occurred that I could never be the same
I just worked and tried to do my best
But I couldn't imagine that there in that abyss
Two men different from the other inmates
I had to make sure they wouldn't escape (I don't think so)
I fastened their hands and feet more than usual
And put them in the dungeon at the end
Wounded, beaten like I haven't seen in a long time
Such strong wounds that they hurt me
Although I didn't feel sorry
Maybe because I didn't know,
I had guarded and watched over criminals day after day
That night there were many of us,
But something was extraordinary,
Hearing an inmate sing didn't happen every day,
I know I wasn't the only one marked
But I couldn't understand how they sang behind bars:
"Holy, Holy, we are here,
Waiting for you,
Because even bound with chains,
I know you will set us free"
It was impressive
There was a shocking silence,
Nobody complained,
Only the voice of that singer,
I, pretended to be asleep on the floor,
It wasn't easy to stand for a long time,
And of course, for a moment I thought
About why they sing so happily,
What moves them to sing at this moment
And while I was thinking,
Something was happening, it scared me,
And from one moment to the next I realized that everything was shaking,
Something supernatural was happening,
I stood up and stumbled,
When I heard the chains breaking,
Prisons opened,
I regretted it, I thought they were gone,
Silence so deep that I even thought they had died,
I should have paid with my life because I couldn't take care of them,
I only heard the sound of my sword unsheathing,
When I was about to do it
I heard a voice that said:
"Don't do it, we are all still with you"
"Holy, Holy, we are here,
Waiting for you,
Because even bound with chains,
I know you will set us free"

The power of God saved my life,

And I, the jailer, seeing that all this had been
Because those men sang and prayed to God,
I ran to the deepest dungeon,
And there were these men, and seeing them
I knelt down with tears in my eyes and said to them:
"What must I do to be saved?"
And one of them answered me:
"Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ,
And you and your household will be saved"
