Now, When I wrote this song some time ago I did a big speech here where I lifted palindromes like "racecar" and "Hannah". Then at the end I did the whole speech backwards and it was quite impressive. But I like to think I've moved on now so I no longer need to rely on cheap gimmicks, tired old formulas, you know easy laughs. I'm not a monkey. I can do other things. One two three four five six seven eight nine ten. see, I can count to ten. So I refuse to base my entire career on one silly party trick and as such I will not be speaking backwards today. O.K.?

Nun, als ich dieses Lied vor einiger Zeit schrieb, hielt ich hier eine große Rede, in der ich Palindrome wie "Rennauto" und "Hannah" erwähnte. Dann am Ende machte ich die ganze Rede rückwärts und es war ziemlich beeindruckend. Aber ich denke gerne, dass ich mich jetzt weiterentwickelt habe, also muss ich mich nicht mehr auf billige Gimmicks, müde alte Formeln, weißt du, einfache Lacher verlassen. Ich bin kein Affe. Ich kann andere Dinge tun. Eins zwei drei vier fünf sechs sieben acht neun zehn. Siehst du, ich kann bis zehn zählen. Also weigere ich mich, meine gesamte Karriere auf einen albernen Partytrick zu stützen, und als solcher werde ich heute nicht rückwärts sprechen. O.K.?
