The Tyrant

I could empathize with all the others
And nonchalantly take control of a person in front of me
Taking momentary control of their mind
To make them do embarrassing things
It's a family trait that comes from my grandfather
With his traveling show
Wherever he went, he only had people around him
Who came on purpose even from the countryside
A gift I carry with me like a heavy weight

To kill the tyrant but the flesh
The tyrant lives on the other side

He's signing everything, hunched over papers, a list of sentences
I find the door already open
And proceed along the corridor barefoot
Holding a razor in my hand
And then there's the moon enjoying the scene from above
A millimeter from his throat
But my hand is shaking

We have a mission to carry through
And we will overcome every level
