پشت سر خورشید شب در کمین بوده
ما هر دو بازیچه در بازی نیرنگ
قربانی یک بت، سر تا به پا از سنگ
ما بت پرست اما، من بت شکن بودم
باید که بت میمرد جایی که من بودم
بت خانه شد اما محراب عشق من
فرمان بت این بود، از عشق دل کندن
ای امده با شعر،ای رفته با گریه
ای خط دلتنگی، از بغض تا گریه
بت را شکستم من،بت خانه شد خالی
با بت تورا هم برد، ان پوچ پوشالی
قربانی بت شد ایمان و پیوندم
من هم ز جای خویش، بت خانه را کندم
اکنون نه بت مانده،نه تو نه فردایی
این بت شکن مانده، با زخم تنهایی

Patient enough to build and live with me
Yet in vain, failed to identify my misery

Behind the sunshine, the night was concealed within
Both of us were mere pawns in the deceitful play
Victims of an idol, with heart of stone, we lay
Idolaters indeed, but I was an iconoclast
The idol must perish, wherever I was
The idol's abode transformed into my sanctuary of love
The idol commanded, love must be forsaken

I broke the idol, the temple stood desolate
With the idol, it took you away, that deceitful, empty state
