در دل کوه غرور ، بر سر قله دور
قلعه ای از فولاد ، قد کشيده سوی نور
کسی از اين همه مرد ، دستی از اين همه دست
فاتح قلعه نشد ، نه به تدبير و نه زور
روح من آن کوه است ، دلم آن قلعه سخت
که ندارد به درون ترس شکست
هر دم از جوشش خشم ، يا غم و کينه و مهر
می رود برج دلم دست به دست
آه ای عشق و اميد ، ای فاتح
فتح کن قلعه فولاد دلم
دلم از کينه و نفرت پوسيد
برس ای عشق به فرياد دلم

Fateh

In the heart of the arrogant mountain, on the distant peak,
A fortress of steel, rising towards the light.
From all these men, not a single hand,
Could conquer the fortress, neither by strategy nor by force.
My soul is that mountain, my heart that impregnable fortress,
That fears no defeat.
Every moment, a surge of anger, sorrow, resentment, or affection,
My heart's castle trembles.
O love and hope, O conqueror,
Conquer the steel fortress of my heart.
My heart is rotten with resentment and hatred,
Come O love, to my heart's aid.
