Regis vasa referentes,
Quem Judaeae tremunt gentes,
Danieli applaudentes

Regis cladem praenotavit,
Cum scripturam reseravit,
Testes reos comprobavit,
Et Susannam liberavit,

Babylon hunc exulavit,
Cum Judaeos captivavit,
Balthasar quem honoravit,

Est propheta sanctus Dei,
Hunc honorant et Chaldaei
Et gentiles et Judaei.

The King's magnificent vessels,
Before which the nations of Judah tremble,
Applauding Daniel,

He foretold the king's destruction,
When he revealed the scripture,
He convicted the guilty witnesses,
And freed Susanna,

Babylon exiled him,
When it took the Jews captive,
Belshazzar, who honoured him,

He is the holy prophet of God,
The Chaldeans honour him,
As do the Gentiles and the Jews.
Therefore let us rejoice in him with jubilation,
