Kahr-ı eyyâma tahammül gerek eyyüp gibi.
Ağlayıp dideni versen nola yakup gibi.
Yemm-i mihnete dolan yunus'a mensûb gibi.
Gelir ahkâm-ı kaza yerine mektup gibi.
Ben kusur eylemedim merhem-i dil yâresine.
Belki takdir-i hüdâ böyle imiş çaresi ne?

çarhı râm edemedi emrine kuvvet ile sam.
Hâtemin lutfuyla doymadı çeşm-i eyyam.
Olsa da servet-i karun olamaz ahz-ı meram.
Derdini anlatamaz kimse bu gerdûne tamam.

Sineye tir-i kaza çekmededir şerha-i gam.
Sallanıp mihr-i ecel karşıda durmuş muhkem.
Almadan kâmı yazık kim görünce râhı adem.
Yetiş imdada gel artık yetiş isî-dem.

Remedy

Like Job, accept the torture of life.
What will happen if you cry and bitterly moan like Jacob?
Like the afflicted Jonah floating in the sea of misery.
The decrees of the Lord arrive like letters in the mail.
It’s not my fault the wound of the heart lacks healing.
