نالم ایرا ناله ها خوش آیدش
از دو عالم ناله و غم بایدش
چون ننالم تلخ از دستان او
چون نیم در حلقهٔ مستان او
گر نبودی ناله نی را ثمر
نی جهانرا پر نکردی از شکر
هر که را جامه ز عشقی چاک شد
او ز حرص و عیب، کلی پاک شد
جسم خاک از عشق بر افلاک شد
کوه در رقص آمد و چالاک شد

Saghi Nameh

I cry for you, my beloved, and you find my cries pleasant.
From both worlds, I must endure cries and sorrows.
How can I not weep bitterly from your hands,
When I am not among the circle of your intoxicated lovers?
If the reed's lament had no fruit,
It would not fill the world with such sweetness.
Whoever's garment is torn by love,
He is completely cleansed of greed and flaws.
The earthly body, through love, ascends to the heavens,
And the mountain dances and becomes agile.
