kanaka mahāmaṇi bhūṣita liṅgaṃ
The lingam adorned with gold and precious gems
phaṇipati veṣṭita śobhita liṅgam |
The lingam embraced by the lord of serpents |
dakṣa suyaṅña nināśana liṅgaṃ
The lingam that destroyed Daksha's arrogant sacrifice
tat-praṇamāmi sadāśiva liṅgam || 4 ||
I bow to you, the ever-auspicious lingam || 4 ||
kuṅkuma candana lepita liṅgaṃ
The lingam smeared with saffron and sandalwood paste
paṅkaja hāra suśobhita liṅgam |
The lingam adorned with a garland of lotuses |
sañcita pāpa vināśana liṅgaṃ
The lingam that destroys accumulated sins
tat-praṇamāmi sadāśiva liṅgam || 5 ||

devagaṇārcita sevita liṅgaṃ

bhāvai-rbhaktibhireva ca liṅgam |

aṣṭadaḷopariveṣṭita liṅgaṃ
The lingam surrounded by eight petals
sarvasamudbhava kāraṇa liṅgam |
The lingam that is the cause of all creation |
aṣṭadaridra vināśana liṅgaṃ
The lingam that destroys the eight forms of poverty
tat-praṇamāmi sadāśiva liṅgam || 7 ||
I bow to you, the ever-auspicious lingam || 7 ||
suraguru suravara pūjita liṅgaṃ
The lingam worshipped by the guru of the gods and the greatest of gods
suravana puṣpa sadārcita liṅgam |
The lingam worshipped with flowers from the celestial garden |
parātparaṃ paramātmaka liṅgaṃ
The lingam that is above the highest, the supreme being
tat-praṇamāmi sadāśiva liṅgam || 8 ||

liṅgāṣṭakamidaṃ puṇyaṃ yaḥ paṭheśśiva sannidhau |
