A boca escancara e canta

Feito um canhão que ribomba
Com ferrugem na garganta

Precede o ronco da fera

Os microfones parecem
Longas serpentes mutantes

E a língua destila a seiva
Dos dentes da cascavel
O que os ouvidos recolhem

Que espirrou das marretadas
Que destroçaram babel

Um assovio solta um pássaro
Que rasga o espaço e voa
Que parte mas não retorna

Untie the knot of your bowels
Stretch out your muscles
The lungs force and sustain
The air in the throat precipitates
The tongue receives the charge

Images are captive balloons

Because poetry is the presence

The gag is thrown off
The dungeon flung open
The captivity shattered
The pole of the seesaw sways
The carousel releases its brakes
The captive woman is free

In the decompression of the cry

The heavy gates have opened
A wild bull breaks free
