که دید درختا شدن پر ز میوه دولا
روباه خام قصه که خود رو چیره دید

پیدا کرد یه جای خوب تو تنِ درخت

سیر شد خداوند روزی رسونو شکر کرد
همینکه قصد ترک این آشیونه کرد
مانع شد شکم روباهُ اسیر لونه کرد
آه و داد بیداد کرد ملا رو مطلع
چماق به دستش رفت ب سمت و سوی تله
تا به حد مرگ روباهُ ملا کتک زدش
خودش رو زد به مردن ورداره دست از سرش
تمارض تنها شانس واسه زنده موندنش
ملا رفت نماز و سُجده کردش خود رو سرزنش

نبود جواب منِ گشنه ضرب و ترک بید
قرار ما طلوع صبح گله حمله ور
بروبید باغ ملا بگیرید حق من
روباه پیر گله کد خدا حیرون
عصا زنان اومد جلو وسط میدون
گفت غرورتون کرده کر و کورتون
کجاست یه فکر منطقی کجاست نبوغتون
اگر به باغ ملا خام شید و حمله ور شید
قول میدم تا صبح فردا هممون قلع و قمع شیم
و تو روباه خاطی خداروشکر کن
زنده ای هنوزم بعد رد خط مرزی
اون داره از ادمی فقط لباسشو
دنیا گُر میگیره برداره نقابشو
من دمم رو دادم از دست تا پخته شم
خامیید و ندیدید تاحالا سلاحشو
اون یه تاجر دروغ محبوبِ ملت
به راحتی میتونه بره بالا منبر
بگه که گوشت روباه حلال من بعد
بگه که خونشم شراب نابِ من بعد
بگه بریدن سرش تو واجباته دین
کور کردن دو چشمش ضد رشک و خشم و کینه

Roobah o Mola

A fox was walking by the mullah's garden
When he saw the trees full of fruit, he bent double.
The foolish fox, who considered himself clever,
Jumped into the mullah's garden and picked fruit after fruit.
Tired and hungry after a long and difficult day,
He found a good place in the trunk of a tree.
He ate as much as he could, filling his belly.
Full, he thanked God for sustenance.
As soon as he tried to leave this nest,
His belly got in the way and he got trapped in the hollow.
He wailed and howled and informed the mullah
Who took a club in his hand and went towards the trap.
The mullah beat the fox to within an inch of his life.
He pretended to be dead so that the mullah would leave him alone.
Feigning death was his only chance to stay alive.
The mullah went to pray and kneel, and reproached himself.
God forgive, a right has been trampled upon.

The fox escaped, his body weak and limp.
He went towards the flock and told them this tale.
He said, "My brothers, from my blood and life,
Absolve me of the mullah's blood, wash away the stain of shame.
The stingy old sheikh didn't spare me even a piece of apple.
He didn't respond to my hunger with anything but blows and whips.
We'll meet at sunrise, and the flock will attack.
Destroy the mullah's garden and avenge my rights.
The old fox, the leader of the flock, was perplexed.
He came forward with his cane, into the midst of the gathering.
He said, "Your pride has made you deaf and blind.
Where is your logic, where is your genius?
If you foolishly attack the mullah's garden,
I promise that by tomorrow morning, we'll all be destroyed.
And you, treacherous fox, thank God
That you're still alive after crossing the line.
He only wears the clothes of a man.
The world will go up in flames when he removes his mask.
I lost my tail to learn my lesson.
You are too naive, and have never seen his weapon.
He's a deceitful merchant, beloved by the people.
He can easily go up into the pulpit
And say that fox meat is now halal for me.
He can say that its blood is now my pure wine.
He can say that cutting off its head is a religious obligation,
That blinding its eyes is a protection against jealousy, rage, and spite,
That its neck bones are like snake vertebrae,
That imprisoning a fox is now a good deed.
