I took the bus from Mexico City to my town
And I find aspects of the landscape are wrong
People selling whatever they can to eat
And under the Cuernavaca sun, that's damn tough, joder

And it's that many city dwellers
They're not bad, but they lack the sense
To broaden their perspective and see what's out there
And not in other states, but in the neighboring borough
Missing people, even children without anyone to protect them

I'm not a patriot, to me that's xenophobia
But of course, I love the country I happen to be in
The delicious food, and the beautiful women
But there's something wrong with us:

The crab mentality of the average man
Plus the damn rulers, wolves in sheep's clothing
Coupled with the fact that we never agree
Result in a country that's falling apart

I know writing won't get us out of the hole
I know my opinion will make someone want to throw mud at me
But I won't stop, because what my eyes see

Is that nobody does anything, and someone has to do it
I know writing is resistance
The goal of life is to find a purpose to live for
And the one I believe I've been given
Is to open minds to leave a legacy

The right wing is crap, it only supports its buddies
And the government turns state-owned companies into monopolies
And meanwhile, the poor can go screw themselves, right?
So many businessmen with nothing in their hearts

And the left wing, that one might be even worse
Saving the universe from their tablet or laptop
Hating the government for anything
And then asking to be paid even for their weed

The right-wing leader only thinks about power
And the left-wing leader is the same, but a hypocrite as well
Nobody thinks about the people, really, nobody does
So let's not give them any rope, let's work for ourselves, it's already known

That the anger it causes me, not even Obama has it
Let's see if in '18 we sell him out, let's see if something changes
We want a fair government
