Eisblumen

Ich war ein Kind und glaubte an Gespenster,
Der Winter war ein eisiger Patron,
Und er malte Blumen an mein Fenster,
Manchmal träum' ich noch heut' davon...

Mal sah'n sie aus wie eine Rosenhecke,
Mal wie Drachen aus dem Fabelland,
Und dann kroch' ich unter meine Decke,
Und hielt den Teddy - fest in meiner Hand...

Das ist ungezählte Winter,
Ungezählte Jahre her,
Und die Eisblumen am Fenster,
Die blühen heut' nicht mehr...

Und ein Schneemann stand in unser'm Garten,
Der konnte mit mir reden, ist doch klar,
Half mir wie ein großer Freund beim Warten,
Bis es Zeit für die Bescherung war.

Das Feuerwehrauto hab' ich gleich gesehen,
Der Weihnachtsman hat wirklich dran gedacht!
Ich nahm es mit ins Bett beim Schlafengehen,
Und die Eisblumen - haben uns bewacht...

Das ist ungezählte Winter,
Ungezählte Jahre her,
Und die Eisblumen am Fenster,
Die blühen heut' nicht mehr...

Doch manchmal, wenn ich Kinder spielen seh'
Im Winterschnee, dann hab' ich das Gefühl,
Die Eisblumen sind ganz in meiner Näh'
Und ich kann sie wieder sehen, wenn ich will!

Manchmal dauert's viele Winter,
Doch dann wird ein Traum von früher wahr,
Und die Eisblmen am Fenster,
Die sind dann wieder da!

Und die Wunder aus der Kindheit,
Die sind auf einmal vorstellbar,
Denn die Eisblumen am Fenster,
Die sind jetzt wieder da!

Ice Flowers

I was a child and believed in ghosts,
Winter was a freezing master,
And he painted flowers on my window,

But sometimes, when I see children playing
In the winter snow, I have the feeling,
The ice flowers are very close to me
And I can see them again if I want!

Sometimes it takes many winters,
But then a dream from the past comes true,

Then they are there again!

And the wonders of childhood,
They are suddenly imaginable,
