Lo mataron sin testigos aquelos que con cariño
Creyo sus grandes amigos

Se volvio en un disparate, decian que la policia
Muerto encontro al aguacate
Aquellos que lo mataron sabian que todo un hombre

They killed him without witnesses, those who he lovingly
Believed were his great friends
In Reynosa, Tamaulipas, one cold morning
It became a disaster, they said the police
Found Aguacate dead
Those who killed him knew that he was a real man
And in confidence they hid from him that they would treacherously kill him
Because they feared Antonio
Aguacate liked to walk hand in hand with death
Because he never cared about killing his enemies
Or being shot to death himself

The night they killed him he had a lovers' date
To come to an agreement, he and his sweetheart
The date of their marriage

But death was waiting for him, with one foot already on the running board
In his brand new car the traitors killed him and concealed their crime

One of the criminals wept desperately at his tomb
With sadness, as if wanting to erase his vile act with his tears
