I took an Irumudi and came as a disciple of the guru,
I came to see the divine feet that will dispel my sins.

To the Pallikattu Sabari mountain,
Stones and thorns will be sweet to my feet,
My Lord Ayyappa,
My Lord's refuge, Ayyappa's refuge (repeat twice in a low voice).

To the Pallikattu Sabari mountain,
Stones and thorns will be sweet to my feet,
My Lord Ayyappa, Ayyappa, my Lord.

I will offer ablution with ghee to the Lord,
I will light a camphor lamp for the Lord,
I will follow the path of Ayyappan
And reach Ayyappan.
I will reach the Sabari mountain (My Lord Ayyappa, Ayyappa, my Lord).
From the month of Karthigai onwards,
I will observe a fast and perform ablutions.

I have been longing to see you,
The charioteer of Arjuna (repeat).

I have come from afar carrying an Irumudi,
I have jumped over the bench with a single mind,
I have worshipped my dear friend Vaavar,
I will climb the sacred mountain of Ayyappan (My Lord Ayyappa, Ayyappa, my Lord).

The elephant belt and the three-pointed spear,
The devotees praise the son of Ariharan,
The one who shows the way and protects,
Ayyappan's tiger will protect,
The steep path of Karimalai,
The ocean of compassion will come to my aid,
When I reach Karimalai,
I will see the sacred river Pambai (My Lord Ayyappa, Ayyappa, my Lord).

Bathe in the Ganges, the holy river, in the Pambai river,
I will meet Sangaran's son, I will reach Sangadam,
I will climb the Neelamalai and Sivabaalan,
He will always be there to protect us.

Physical strength is your strength,
Physical strength is your strength (lower tone).

When you say physical strength,
He will give you a body,

He will give you feet, good
He will show you the path (My Lord Ayyappa, Ayyappa, my Lord).

I will reach the Sabari shrine,
