Wir waren grad auf hoher See,
Da griff ein Riesenkraken an,
Der war wohl grad in Rage.

Dazu Tentakelage.
Wir nahm' von Back- und Steuerbord
Die Arme die im Seemannsknot
Wir um die Planken banden.
Das war der reinste Krakenmord,
Denn sank der Kraken mit dem Boot
Zum Grund wo er tat stranden.

Wir hatten unverschämtes Glück,
Denn kam sogleich ein Walfischtier,
Das hatte große schmacht.
Das fraß uns gleich im ganzen Stück,
Im Fachjargon zur See ham wir
Den Jonas so gemacht.
So hausten wir drei Wochen lang
Bei Fischbrötchen und Lebertran
Im Ungeheuerbauch.
So manches dort im Magen hang,
So fingen wir zu feiern an,
Denn Rum den gab es auch.

Und wenn wer sagt son Seemangarn
Wär doch der aller blankste Hohn,
Der hinterletzte Scheiß!
Damit könnt ihr zur Hölle fahrn!
Dann sag'n wir ihm da warn wir schon,
Da ist es uns zu heiß!

Wir haben reichlich schief gesung
Von einem Weingefüllten Fass
Und bald litt der Wal schon
An einer Magenverstimmung,
Im Fachjargon der See heißt das
Walmanipulation.
Und das erfüllte seinen Zweck,
Er spülte uns bald oben raus
Wohin die Sonne schien.

Nur Honza wurd zu seinem Graus

Sailor's Yarn (Live)

We were just on the high seas, my dear,
When a giant kraken did appear,
In a state of fury and rage.
It tore the masts down – oh the fear,
In sailor's jargon, we say with cheer,
We've got a tentacle stage.
From port and starboard, with all our might,
We tied its arms, with a sailor's knot tight,
Around the planks, we did engage.
It was a kraken murder, day and night,
For the kraken sank with the boat in sight,
To the depths, where it did stage.

We had outrageous luck, it's true,
For a whale then came into view,
With a hunger we couldn't assuage.
It ate us whole, the whole damn crew,
In sailor's jargon, what can we do,
We pulled a Jonah, center stage.
For three long weeks, we made our stay,
With fish sandwiches, come what may,
Inside the belly of the beast.
Many things in the stomach lay,
So we started to party the day away,
For rum, there was a feast.

And if someone says this sailor's yarn,
Is just a mockery, a sham,
The uttermost crap and disgrace!
With that, you can go to hell and burn,
We'll tell them we've already been, we'll yearn,
That place is too hot to embrace!

We sang quite poorly, off-key and loud,
Of a wine-filled barrel, quite proud,
And soon the whale, in pain,
Suffered from an upset stomach, endowed,
In sailor's jargon, it's renowned,
As whale manipulation's gain.
And that fulfilled its purpose well,
He flushed us out, like a magic spell,
Where the sun did shine so bright.
On a whale fountain, we fell,
Only Honza, to his dismay, it befell,
Was spat out from behind, in the night.

And despite the wonders we'd seen,
We solemnly, while drunk, it's true,
Decided, never, no matter what we go through,
To make a song of this whole scene.
