Como la sombra de un fantasma por las noches

Va un hombre triste montado en su caballo

Todos se dicen por ahí viene el Arracada
Lleva patillas, chamarra de vaquero

The Arracadas (The Earrings)

Like the shadow of a ghost in the night,
Crossing mountains, ravines, and towns,
Goes a sad man riding his horse,
His dog accompanies him, searching the fields.

Everyone says, "There goes the Arracadas,"
He wears sideburns, a cowboy jacket,
A black Stetson and leather pants, with a calm gaze,
Looking for some cattle thief.

"I will fulfill a sacred oath,"
When he left his hut, he told his mother,
"I'm going to look for that traitor who, up on the hill,"
Cowardly and mercilessly killed my father."

Whispers of prayer were heard,
As a mother prayed to heaven for her son,
Then a horse gallops away, neighing,
And down by the ravine his tracks were lost.

And that traitor whom the Arracadas sought,
They found him dead, hanging in a pasture,
While another man, his dog, and his horse,
Have never been seen again, his whereabouts lost.

There in the darkness of a hut, a sob is heard,
It's from a mother who finds herself abandoned,
She cries for a man who listens from heaven,
And for an absent son of whom nothing is known,
