I flee to the LORD, chased by fear;
He is my refuge place.
"Trust in Me!", He has declared.
His Word gives certainty and grace.

He grants my heart relief and rest.
"I know suffering," He has explained,
And adds joy to the test.

I flee to the LORD, worn down by stress,
Who straightens what is bent and weak.
"Come to Me!", He gently does profess,
My soul finds solace that I seek.

And gain assurance in His might.
The devil flees, the Scriptures show;
He roars, but cannot harm my light.

He shows the path where I can flee.
I call on Him, whose help I win;
Temptation yields to His mercy.
I flee to the LORD, weighed down by shame;
He shields all who draw near to Him.
His blood, for my guilt, takes the blame.
