couple
waits

me.
足元に力無く寝そべった

puppy

weakly,
仔犬だけを現世の道連れに

only
companion
on
this
earthly
journey.
小さな肩寄せ合って
They
huddle
together,
their
shoulders
touching,
古新聞からおむすび
Eating
onigiri
wrapped
in
old
newspaper.
灰の中の埋火おこすように
Like
kindling
that
sparks
a
dying
fire,
頼りない互いのぬくもり抱いて

embrace
the
feeble
warmth
of
each
other's
presence.
昔ずっと昔熱い恋があって

long
ago,
their
love
burned
bright,
