מכתם לדוד

הֲרֵינִי מְקַשֵׁר עַצְמִי
בַּאֲמִירַת הָעֲשָׂרָה מִזְמוֹרִי תהלים אֵלּוּ
לְכָל הַצַּדִּיקִים הָאֲמִתִּיִּים שֶׁבְּדוֹרֵנוּ
וּלְכָל הַצַּדִּיקִים הָאֲמִתִּים שׁוֹכְנֵי עָפָר,
קְדוֹשִׁים אָשֵׁר בָּאָרֶץ הֵמָּה
וּבִפְרָט לְרַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ
צַדִּיק יְסוֹד עוֹלָם
נַחַל נוֹבֵעַ מְקוֹר חָכְמָה
רַבֵּנוּ נַחְמָן בֶּן פֵיגֶא

לְכוּ נְרננה לַאֲדֹנָי, נָריעה לְצוּר יִשָׁעֲנוּ.
נְקַדְמָה פָנָיו בְּתוֹדָה בִּזְמִירוֹת נָריעַ לוֹ.
כִּי אֵל גָּדוֹל יהֹוָה וּמֶלך גָּדוֹל עַל כָּל אֱלֹהִים.

הֲרֵינִי מְזַמֵּן אֶת פִּי לְהוֹדוֹת
וּלְהַלֵּל וּלְשַׁבֵּחַ אֶת בּוֹרְאִי.
לְשֵׁם יִחוּד קוּדְשָׁא-בְּרִיךְ-הוּא ושׁכִינְתֵּיה,
בִּדְחִילוּ וּרְחִימוּ,
עַל יְדֵי הַהוּא טָמִיר וְנֶעֶלָם,
בְּשֵּׁם כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל.

מִכְתָּ֣ם לְדָוִ֑ד שָֽׁמְרֵ֥נִי אֵ֜֗ל
כִּֽי־חָסִ֥יתִי בָֽךְ:
אָמַ֣רְתְּ לַֽ֖יהֹוָה אֲדֹנָ֣י אָ֑תָּה
ט֜וֹבָתִ֗י בַּל־עָלֶֽיךָ:
לִקְדוֹשִׁים אֲשֶׁר־בָּאָ֣רֶץ הֵ֑מָּה
וְ֜אַדִּירֵ֗י כָּל־חֶפְצִי־בָֽם:
יִרְבּ֥וּ עַצְּבוֹתָם֘ אַחֵ֪ר מָ֫הָ֥רוּ
בַּל־אַסִּ֣יךְ נִסְכֵּיהֶ֣ם מִדָּ֑ם
וּבַל־אֶשָּׂ֥א אֶת־שְׁ֜מוֹתָ֗ם עַל־שְׂפָתָֽי:
יְֽהֹוָ֗ה מְנָ֣ת חֶלְקִ֣י וְכוֹסִ֑י
אַ֜תָּ֗ה תּוֹמִ֥יךְ גּוֹרָלִֽי:
חֲבָלִ֣ים נָֽפְלוּ־לִ֖י בַּנְּעִמִ֑ים
אַף־נַֽ֜חֲלָ֗ת שָֽׁפְרָ֥ה עָלָֽי:
אֲבָרֵ֣ךְ אֶת־יְ֖הֹוָה אֲשֶׁ֣ר יְעָצָ֑נִי
אַף־לֵ֜יל֗וֹת יִסְּר֥וּנִי כִלְיוֹתָֽי:
שִׁוִּ֬יתִי יְהֹוָ֣ה לְנֶגְדִּ֣י תָמִ֑יד
כִּ֥י מִ֜ימִינִ֗י בַּל־אֶמּֽוֹט:
לָכֵ֚ן שָׂמַ֣ח לִ֖בִּי וַיָּ֣גֶל כְּבוֹדִ֑י
אַף־בְּ֜שָׂרִ֗י יִשְׁכֹּ֥ן לָבֶֽטַח:
כִּ֚י לֹא־תַֽעֲזֹ֣ב
נַפְשִׁ֣י לִשְׁא֑וֹל
לֹֽא־תִתֵּ֥ן חֲ֜סִֽידְךָ֗ לִרְא֥וֹת שָֽׁחַת:
תּֽוֹדִיעֵנִי֘ אֹ֪רַח חַ֫יִּ֥ים
שׂ֣בַע שְׂ֖מָחוֹת
אֶת־פָּנֶ֑יךָ נְעִמ֖וֹת
בִּימִֽינְךָ֣ נֶֽצַח:

I hereby bind myself
to saying these ten Psalms
for all the true righteous of our generation
and for all the true righteous who dwell in the dust,
holy ones who are in the land
and in particular, for our holy Rebbe,
the righteous one, foundation of the world
a flowing stream, a source of wisdom
Rebbe Nachman of Breslov
who revealed this remedy

Come, let us sing to the Lord; let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.
Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

I hereby invite my mouth to give thanks
and to praise and glorify my Creator.
For the sake of the unification of the Holy One, blessed be He, and His Shechinah,
with awe and love,
through the concealed and hidden One,
in the name of all Israel.

Michtam of David; Preserve me, O God:
for in thee do I put my trust.
I have said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord:
my goodness extendeth not to thee;
But to the saints that are in the earth,
And to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god:
Their drink offerings of blood will I not offer,
Nor take up their names into my lips.
The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup:
thou maintainest my lot.
The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places;
Yea, I have a goodly heritage.
I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel:
My reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
I have set the Lord always before me:
Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth:
My flesh also shall rest in hope.
For thou wilt not leave
my soul in hell;
Neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Thou wilt shew me the path of life:
In thy presence is fulness of joy;
At thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
