案外それをやめたときに見付かったりして

本物を求める人 偽物を作ろうとする人
分け合いたい人と 奪い合うことを止めない人

他人事のように思えなくて苦しくなっちまうのは
太陽も月も他の全部も最初は一個だったってこと
みんなが「かたわれ」だってこと 思い出させる為なんでしょうか

Lost Item

As I was running, frantically and engrossed,
Somewhere along the way, I lost something I held dear.
I dug through my room and my pockets,
But it never turned up.

When did I drop it? Was it taken from me, stolen?
Did I mistake it for something else and throw it away myself?

In this vast, sprawling city, unable to even look back,
I don't slow down, oblivious to the dirt on my clothes,
In this ruthless society where I must discard everything but the bare necessities,
Sometimes, I lose sight of what's truly important.
What could those people walking through the city be searching for?
Is each person looking for something different, or are we all searching for the same thing?
After searching frantically and obsessively,
Perhaps we might find it when we stop looking.

Those who seek the genuine, those who create the artificial,
Those who wish to share, those who refuse to stop their struggle.

Everything that happens over and over in this vast, expansive city,
I can't help but feel it as my own, it pains me,
Because originally, the sun, the moon, and everything else were one.
Are we all meant to remember that we're all "soul mates"?

When will I find it? Have others already found theirs?
What exactly are we searching for as we go through life?

In this sprawling metropolis, I can't afford to look back,
My pace never falters, I don't notice the grime on my clothes,
In a society that forces me to discard all but the essentials,
I've forgotten what's truly important.

My heart races with great expectations, but they're met with equal disappointment,
I find and lose, I cherish and cast aside.
The sun, the moon, and all of creation move in cycles, illuminating one another,
Lost things, like us, shine by reflecting each other's light.
