イエスこそ私たちが望む喜びの根源
聖なる知恵、もっとも輝かしい愛
あなたに引き寄せられた私たちの魂は
始原の光へ導かれることを慕い求めている
神のことばは情熱の迸る命の火で
私たちの肉に息を吹き込まれた
私たちの魂は知らされていない真実を探求し
御座の側に召される日を待ち望む
どれほど平和の音楽が鳴り響いているか
希望に導かれて進む間に耳を澄ましてみなさい
あなたに従う多くの人々が
決して涸れない泉から喜びを飲む
その美しさの比類なき喜びは彼らのもの
その知恵のもっとも神聖な宝は彼らのもの

Jesu, our hope's foundation, and our stay
Most holy wisdom, truth's eternal ray
Our souls to thee aspire, to find their rest
And in thy light be evermore impressed
Thy boundless power, with awe we joyfully confess
Whose living Spirit breathed our flesh into its frame
Our souls are urged to seek thee, till in thee they find
The peace that fills the thoughtful, meek, and pure of mind
Hark! hark! what music swells around us, as we move
By ways that thou hast led us, guided by thy love
The seraph hosts around thee wait, and praise thy name
And draughts of living water bring, to quench our thirst
In endless bliss, and perfect love, they drink the streams
That flow from thee, the heavenly and eternal King
In earthly joys we seek, and find, in part, thy grace
And when thou leadest us, we see thy smiling face
