Ziemassvētki atnākuši,

Christmas Eve

In the forest, the firs murmur quietly,
White snows bloom in the needles.
Across the fields with sure steps
Santa Claus walks.

The moon looks out from behind the fir tree,
And the stars open their bright eyes,
And at each window, the children
Wait for something, hope for something.

The old man comes with a large sack,
Everywhere the children are waiting for him.
The gifts are both large and small,
And each heart is gladdened.

Christmas has come,
Bright candles burn on the fir trees,
And when the carolers come,
