Love Letter

The beginning was so abrupt,
I wondered if I'd somehow started reading from the second page.
I panicked a little,
but I was wrong.
The words, like you were speaking to me,
flowed from the start of the letter
and warmed the area around my ears.
They made me blush.

Happy, I covered my mouth with my right hand.
Embarrassed, I laughed again and again.
