I hugged my knees and shivered, my cheek pressed against them.
Even the moonlight seemed like a defilement.
I just searched and wandered, longing for it.
To fill my empty heart.
“Search for it,” beyond the dawn and the rainbow.
“Reach for it,” where the silence of the light will await.
Like the snow that melted as my tears fell,
It healed the wound that had spread inside me.
“Fulfill it,” as I was carried away by the darkness.
One by one, two by two, the curse that bound me was released.
The rusted chain shattered easily.
If I chased after the shadow, I would lose my way.
All that remained was his flower.
“I knocked,” on the door that held back my sorrow.
“I offered,” the fragment that fell endlessly.
In time, I realized it would burn me, like my own body.
No matter how much I endured the throbbing pain, I was consumed by the darkness.
“A colorless glass flower.”
“I called out,” to the flower that sought color.
“I shed tears,” along with the white snow I shared with it.
Even if it withered away with the changing seasons,
I would simply watch the moment when a smile spread across its face.
