Incomprehensible books are piled up,
I write poetry alone.
Claiming ennui as the excuse,
I pretend to be struggling.
Someone unknown is laughing,
Pointing a finger at me.
A crowd of people chatter away,
And I have become like them.
I revise, rewrite, and stay up all night,
So it's no wonder I'm depressed when I look at Klee's paintings,
Is it because I've become jaded?
Desperate to depict the invisible,
I resort to words.
Ennui sustains me,
And so I live on.
