Like a behemoth, it ascends the Grand Canyon
This ostentatious era of prosperity nears its end, no time to weep
From myriad factory chimneys, it billows into the sky
From countless fetid sewers, it trickles down to the ocean
You revel in creating deadly fumes and spewing out toxic waste
From the corner of a refuse heap, it encroaches upon the garden
Along the bustling commercial developments, it implicates even the suburbs
The forest, ruthlessly cleared, who will atone for this crime?
Let the wrath of Wild Grass toll this knell
Should you fail to find a compromise
If London, New York, and Tokyo
Were to become desolate wastelands
Rest assured, Wild Grass will seize control
It will spread along the subway tracks, into the housing estates
It will climb the water pipes, reaching the rooftops
This swift retaliation knows no mercy
Beginning in residential areas, it advances towards the city center
All that humans have built, it will devour in its verdant maw
I intend to lull every city along my path to sleep
Who has invited this unwelcome guest?
We have advised and warned
But our pleas have fallen on deaf ears
How strange that humans plant the landmines
And then revel in their detonation, these acts of bravado
