My plucking fingertips resemble a waning moon, a faint guiding light illuminating my path in the fading days.
The lingering sounds after the cold ringing out seeps into the creeping night, staining it.

The path to the moon, a faint scent, a blurry corner of my vision.
Was I wrong for calling it simple? Was I crying?

The sky that I yearned for is somehow a little different from the hue I painted.
I stand frozen behind the distorted stage.
Before I knew it, I had come so far away.
All alone.

Behind the facade of a wavering heart, the past, present, and future flutter, bound but unattached.

I sing as if spitting out my bitter feelings, heavy raindrops falling.

My hands clasped over my ears remain there,
I look down and see that I had come so far up high.
All alone, with nothing in my possession.

My plucking fingertips and the moon's waning crescent, a prelude to the end and a new beginning in the fading days.
The sounds carried by my shining words float, guiding me to an unexplored world of flickering memories.

The sky I desired is a little different from the shade I painted,
but if I were to release my clasped hands, I would hold onto them.
To grasp at everything that vanished and be myself,
my one and only, my very own.
