Ночь наступила внезапно и быстро
Закрыты окна ставни двери
Боже храни нас от сил нечистых
Молились люди на коленях

И только старый сторож пьяный

Слепой туман стелился с болота
Полночь близка и опять где-то рядом
Вампиры вышли на охоту.
И вновь кого-то станут отпевать
И скорбный хор басов могучих
Споет псалмы мрачнее тучи
Скована страхом жизнь невозможна
Пролита кровь людей невинных
Церковь пуста веры нет в силу божью
И блекнет злато икон старинных
Зарос бурьяном пышный прежде сад
И только старый сторож пьяный
Забыв про страх орал упрямо

Epidemic

Night fell suddenly and swiftly,
Windows are shut, shutters and doors barred,
“God save us from unclean forces,”
People prayed on their knees,
Silent fear crept into every home,
And only the old drunken watchman,
Forgetting everything, stubbornly yelled,
The air is filled with a grave chill,
Blind fog crept from the swamp,
Midnight is near and again somewhere close,
Vampires went out hunting.
And again someone will be mourned,
And the mournful choir of mighty basses,
Will sing psalms darker than the clouds,
Life, shackled by fear, is impossible,
The blood of innocent people is shed,
The church is empty, there is no faith in God's power,
And the gold of ancient icons fades,
The once lush garden is overgrown with weeds,
And only the old drunken watchman,
Forgetting his fear, stubbornly yelled,
