Не могу я видеть без грусти ежедневных собачьих драк
В этом маленьком захолустье поразительно много собак!
Есть мордастые всякой масти! Есть поджарые - всех тонов!
Только тронь - разорвут на части иль оставят вмиг без штанов
Говорю о том не для смеху, я однажды подумал так
Да! Собака - друг человеку одному, а другому - враг
Я вспомнил угрюмые волны, летящие мимо и прочь!
Я вспомнил угрюмые молы, я вспомнил угрюмую ночь
Я вспомнил угрюмую птицу, взлетевшую жертву стеречь
Я вспомнил угрюмые лица, я вспомнил угрюмую речь
Я вспомнил угрюмые думы, забытые мною уже
И стало угрюмо, угрюмо и как-то спокойно душе

There are muzzles of all stripes! There are lean ones - of all tones!
Just touch - they will tear to pieces or leave in a flash without pants
I'm not saying this for laughs, I once thought so
Yes! A dog - a friend to one man, but to another - an enemy
I remembered the gloomy waves, flying past and away!
I remembered the gloomy moles, I remembered the gloomy night
I remembered the gloomy bird, flying up to watch the victim
I remembered the gloomy faces, I remembered the gloomy speech
I remembered the gloomy thoughts, long forgotten by me
And it became gloomy, gloomy and somehow calmly in my soul
