I gaze into the encroaching dusk,
What do my eyes behold before me,
Frozen in Nav's embrace?
My consciousness dreams a vision,
Of you soaring above reality,
Amongst a flock of ravenous crows,
That eclipse your light.
Fly towards the sun,
Into the embrace of the clouds,
Fly, do not fear,
To the halls of the Dream Guardian.
Fallen, yes, in the field,
By Perun's will,
He lay upon the damp earth,
Embraced Mara tenderly.
Mara walked,
Beckoned him to follow,
Sang at his deathbed,
A lullaby.
I sleep in the abyss,
Brothers in sorrow,
Sweetly I slumber,
Never to return.
The voice of gods guides my soul,
In the gleam of dreams, the Wheel of Nav turns,
I plunge downwards, but Mara's hands hold me back,
I see fire upon my burial mound.
Once again, I see the flicker of flames,
The souls of my kin will hear me,
In bitter tears, memory lives on,
Stribog will sing my song to them.
