Скорбная сказка

Слабонервных и женщин я прошу удалиться -
Эта скорбная сказка не для вас.
Остальных попросил бы прикрывать свои лица
Дабы слёзы на них не прервали рассказ.
Все мы помним из детства ту историю с дубом,
Где у брега морского и ночью и днём,
И зимою и летом, несмотря на погоду
Может встретиться каждый с учёным котом.
В сказке у кота в жизни пустота,
Радости и света в эточ сказке нету.
В сказке у кота горькая судьба -
Все мы на цепи у своей судьбы!
Кот плетётся по кругу, ветки лезут в глаза
И учённому другу петь мешает слеза.
Сказки тихо бормочет, а в желудке урчит:
Очень кушать он хочет, но он гордо молчит.
Всё ему надоело – и русалки и лес.
Он идёт проклиная день когда он полез
За какой-то кукушкой по цепи золотой.
Где и застал его Пушкин – поэт молодой.
И теперь он обязан цепь златую стеречь.
Так написано в сказке, сначит БУДЕТ беречь!...
Те кто слушали могут утереться платком.
Ведь коту не поможешь… да и чёрт с ним, с котом.

A Sorrowful Tale

I ask the faint of heart and ladies to leave -
This sorrowful tale is not for you.
I would ask the rest to cover their faces
So that tears on them do not interrupt the story.
We all remember from childhood the story with the oak,
Where by the seashore, both night and day,
And winter and summer, despite the weather
Everyone can meet a learned cat.
In the fairy tale, the cat's life is empty,
There is no joy or light in this fairy tale.
In the fairy tale, the cat has a bitter fate -
We are all chained to our own destiny!
The cat walks in circles, branches climb into his eyes
And a tear prevents his learned friend from singing.
He quietly mutters fairy tales, and his stomach rumbles:
He is very hungry, but he proudly remains silent.
He is tired of everything – both mermaids and the forest.
He walks cursing the day he climbed
For some cuckoo on a golden chain.
Where Pushkin, a young poet, found him.
And now he is obliged to guard the golden chain.
So it is written in the fairy tale, so he WILL guard it!...
Those who listened can wipe their tears with a handkerchief.
After all, you can't help the cat... and to hell with him, the cat.
