Моя Одесса

Пахнет морем, и луна висит над самым Лонжероном,
И каштаны тихо шепчутся с бульваром полусонным.
Спят фонтаны, занавешены фруктовыми садами. /
От бульвара книзу лестница сбегает прямо к порту.
В Лунном парке обсуждаются и браки, и аборты.
Натюрморты, те которые в Аркадии на пляже,
Не покажут в знаменитом Ленинградском Эрмитаже.
Нет Одессы без Привоза и без Нового базара.
Там покрыты покупатели и матом, и загаром.
По бульварам пьяный запах распустившейся сирени, 2
Над причалом маяка огонь и лес портовых кранов.
В море - чайки, а над ними гордо кружатся бакланы.
Рестораны осветили побережье огоньками,
Звон бокалов, и поет гитара за Одессу-маму.
И в загранке я всегда тебя по памяти рисую,
Молдаванку, и булыжную родную мостовую,
И Пиресы, пробудившиеся от первого трамвая,
И, как в детстве, я по солнечному городу шагаю. 2

My Odessa

Smells like the sea, and the moon hangs over the very Langeron,
And the horse chestnuts whisper quietly with the half-asleep boulevard.
The fountains are sleeping, curtained by fruit gardens. /
A staircase runs down from the boulevard directly to the port.
Marriages and abortions are discussed in the Moon Park.
Still lifes, those on the beach in Arcadia,
Will not be shown in the famous Leningrad Hermitage,
There is no Odessa without Privoz and Novyi Bazar,
Where customers are covered with both curses and a suntan.
Along the boulevards the drunken scent of blossoming lilac, 2
Above the pier, the lighthouse fire and the forest of port cranes,
Gulls in the sea, and cormorants proudly circling above them,
Restaurants illuminated the coast with lights,
The clinking of glasses, and the guitar sings for Odessa-mama.
And abroad I always draw you from memory,
Moldavanka, and native cobblestone pavement,
And the Pireys, awakened from the first tram,
