Fair-haired boys with feathers on their heads
Have come down to us again, returned to us again from the sky
Their amazed and blinded morning eyes
Ask for forgiveness, as they beg for bread in the streets
Slowly, like frightened and strange beasts
Not yet having had time to recover from the weariness of sleep
They grope for pots and open doors

Quiet games beside the sleeping people
Every morning, while even the mice sleep in the house
The boys know that they must do everything quickly
