И пахли волосы дождем и солнцем
И мы прозрачны были с ней до донца
Не прибавлялось серьезных знаний
От грома дальнего и плеч касаний

А красный галстук шел ей даже дома
Её отец был секретарь райкома
Но разве мог он распорядиться
Чтоб мы друг другу прекратили сниться?

Жизнь неосознанно вечная

На пляже люди весело визжали
И в этот день они переезжали
А я был в лагерь тогда отправлен
И на две смены был весь мир отравлен

И я вернулся в город, как в пустыню
И ждал зимы, надеясь, что простыну
Чтоб объявили для всех печально
Потом по радио официально

Но слава Богу, все остались живы
А то, что мир порой бывает лживым
Нам стало ясно, и только грустно
Что все молчали письменно и устно

И победил, конечно, светлый разум
Мы с этой жизнью всегда справлялись
Но где бы ни были, опять встречались

My classmate, with a sun-kissed glow
We studied algebra and ate the ripe
Gooseberries in the humid hallway
And I kept silent about the most important thing

As the raindrops pounded on the eaves of the house
And our new textbook from UCHPEDGIZ
We didn't know that life would pass us by
And this algebra would be of no use

Her hair smelled of rain and sun
And we were transparent, down to our cores
No serious knowledge was gained

The red tie suited her, even at home
Her father was the secretary of the district committee

On the beach, people were squealing with joy
And on that day, they were moving away
And I was sent off to camp
And for two shifts, the world was poisoned

And I returned to the city, as if to a desert
And waited for winter, hoping to catch a cold
So that they would announce to everyone, sadly
Then officially on the radio

But thank God, everyone survived
And the fact that the world can sometimes be false
Became clear to us, but only with sadness
That everyone kept silent, in writing and in speech
And we never saw each other again

We have always coped with this life
But wherever we were, we met again
