То не пахарь землю пашет,
Ворон клочья неба в тучи вяжет
В древнем Полоцке звонят колокола
Там давно о князе водится молва

На небе волчья тень,
Заканчивай свой день
Дружину сторонясь,
Колдун и оборотень князь.

Лик Луны ползёт на юг с востока
на врагов готовит он охоту
Полночь близко - грозовеют небеса
Князь готов из яви править чудеса

Страшны врагов клинки,
Не взять их по людски
И Волком обротясь,
Дружину в бой ведёт смеясь.

Грозен княже,
Зверь - не человече
Коли сразу не убьёт, -
так изувечит.

Вражья свора тьмою стала у реки
Пригодятся Волку когти и клыки

Птицы в рощи, рыбы на глубины,
опустели в ужасе равнины

Смерти стоны да кровавая трава
А дружина-стая княжия жива

Завидно зверем быть
Вино победы пить
Он выполнил свой долг
Но от чего так мрачен Волк?

Убиты псы
Но с горечью слезы
Победа та сплелась
Княжны молитву слышит князь

Не расти колосьям вровень
Камень по степи вороний
Рассекая телом темень
Воины, храбрые как звери
Засуши им раны, Ветер,
Уведи их, брат, от смерти
По мосту калинову не води Вода его,
А верни любимого - мужа невредимого.
Солнце! Наш Отец священный, князя вынь из шкуры тленной,
Пусть вернётся к отчим стенам человеком неизменным!
Возьми в свои лучи вражьи стрелы да мечи, рыки да оскалы,
Ноченьки кровавы оберни забавой, словно не бывало!
Так поклялся мне вчерась перед боем вещий князь,
Что не будет волком князь

Домы ждут сыны твои волчата
Колдовство ночное мною снято
Возвращайся с красным солнцем сокол мой
Обернись из зверя, торопись домой

Заря встает в ночи
И страшный зверь кричит
Не обманул княжну
Последний бой, кончай войну

К жене иду винясь
Кончай войну не волк я - князь.

The face of the moon creeps south from the east
he prepares a hunt for his enemies

The prince is ready to rule miracles from reality

The enemies' swords are fearsome,
They cannot be taken humanly
And Turning into a Wolf,
Leads the squad into battle laughing.

Formidable prince,
A beast - not a human
If he does not kill right away, -
he will mutilate.

The enemy pack became darkness by the river
The Wolf will need claws and fangs

Birds in the groves, fish in the depths,
the plains have become desolate in horror

Death groans and bloody grass
And the squad-pack of the prince is alive

It is enviable to be a beast
To drink the wine of victory
He fulfilled his duty
But why is the Wolf so gloomy?

The dogs are killed
But tears of bitterness
That victory is intertwined
The prince hears the princess's prayer

Let not the ears of corn grow evenly
Raven stone on the steppe
