Трудились гномы молотками стуча
Укрывшись в пещерах от холодов

В полумраке подземном, и ночи, и дни
Золото в шахтах добывали они
За синие горы, за белый туман
В пещеры и норы уйдёт караван
За быстрые воды уйдём до восхода
За кладом старинным из сказочных стран.

Но как-то раз вечерней порой
Когда солнце пряталось за горой
Гномы верёвкой его обвязали
И утащили под землю с собой
Разгневались боги и стали решать

Chapter X - The Gold of the Dwarves

From the dark and gloomy caves
Beneath the mighty hill
Came strange and eerie sounds
Upon the moonlit night
The ringing of their hammers
The flickering torches' gleam
Lit up the cavern's vast expanse
Where labored dwarves for elven kings
Toiling tirelessly with their picks and blows
Hidden deep within the earth
Through centuries they toiled
In subterranean gloom
Extracting gold from veins deep within the stone
Beyond the azure mountains and the misty veil
Through caverns deep we'll seek the hidden grail
Across the rushing waters, ere the break of dawn
For ancient treasures in distant realms withdrawn.

But one fateful eve as the sun began its fall
When shadows danced upon the mountain's wall

The gods were angered and they planned

And seize their bodies as their rightful right
