The Giant

His father-wind combed his hair,
His mother-river washed him clean,
And when he stood up to his full height,
His head reached the clouds unseen.

And now the giant sleeps a mighty sleep,
He needs no more knowledge to attain,
The language in which he stays silent,
Speaks of wonders yet unknown, it's plain.
