Heart of Stone

On branches of iron, no leaves rustle,
No foliage whispers in the breeze.
Above steel grass, a razor-sharp dragonfly,
A mechanical wonder, spins with ease.

Clockwork birds in cages,
Their songs have ceased to flow.
Mechanical fish in the pond below,
Seek refuge, hiding from the show.

On branches of iron, no flowers bloom,
No vibrant colors grace the scene.
In desolate gardens, even in summer's boom,
Streams remain silent, no murmur is keen.

In the voices of underground songs,
The deep organ's sound is unheard.
And in the earth, where the nameless throng,
Words lie buried, like a silent bird.

In the granite maiden's head,
A thread of stone resides.
On the silent maiden's hands, instead,
A headless griffin silently abides.

The heart of stone guards with might,
The water of the dead, so still.
Into the heart of stone take flight,
Fear and emptiness, against their will.

Golden bars of light descend,
Upon the clouds, they gently fall.
Unveiling somewhere, without end,
Domes of wings, embracing all.
Someone's arrows pierce the night,
Shadows of grim years take flight.
On the granite maiden's face so bright,
Eternal snow melts in the light.
