In Remembrance on My Couch
In remembrance on my couch, the wickedness of my heart and its sins
I shall arise and come to the house of My God, and to His footstool
And I shall say, as I lift my eyes in supplication towards his heavens
Let us fall into the hand of the Lord, for abundant are His mercies
To You, my God, my rock of strength, my refuge in my distress
In you is my hope and my expectation, my strength in my exile
To you are all the desires of my heart, and before you are laid bare all my longings
Redeem the servant that cries to you from the hand of those who persecute and oppose him
Let us fall into the hand of the Lord, for abundant are His mercies
Answer me, Lord, answer me, as I call from the depths
And let it be known throughout the nations that Your hand is not shortened
And do not disdain the plea of the poor, who cries from the clutches of his tormentor
Who confesses his transgressions to You, and acknowledges his sins from his youth
Let us fall into the hand of the Lord, for abundant are His mercies
Why should he complain and say, what should he utter and defend
A being of dust, whose body shall return to fine dust
What can man give to You, if he sins, and what, if he is righteous
Behold, his words and his deeds are inscribed in the book of his days
Let us fall into the hand of the Lord, for abundant are His mercies
At midnight, Your servants arise to You in their praise
Remember the merit of the forefathers, and do not regard their deeds
Acquire Your congregation, as in days of old, Holy One of Jacob, their Redeemer
And may the God who makes peace in His heights be exalted
Let us fall into the hand of the Lord, for abundant are His mercies
