איך נָפְלָה עָלַי פִּתְאוֹם עִיר וּבֶהָלוֹת,
קוֹמוֹת עַל גַּב קוֹמוֹת, וְזִכְרוֹנוֹת חוֹלְפִים
בִּי כְּמוֹ מַעֲלִיּוֹת רֵיקוֹת, כִּי נָפְלָה
עָלַי פִּתְאוֹם עִיר וּבֶהָלוֹת, וַאֲנִי אוֹמֵר:

"חַלּוֹן אֵינוֹ אֶלָּא רָצוֹן אַחֵר, פָּתוּחַ",
וַאֲנִי מַקְשִׁיב לָרוּחַ מִתְגּוֹשֶׁשֶׁת בַּתְּרִיסִים,
