הצניע מושקה את צרורו והסתלק משם

So said the squire to Mushka the groom,
And gave him a hundred rubles to set out immediately.
Mushka walks to the fair, and oh what luck!
By the inn stands a gentile with a white horse just like that,

And the gentile, a young lad, stands there daydreaming,
