נכנס למקום שנכנס
ועמד במקום שעמד
רחץ ידיו, רגליו
טבל, עלה ונסתפג
בא ממקום שהוא בא
והלך למקום שהלך
פשט בגדי החול
לבש בגדי לבן

וכך היה אומר
אנא ה′ כפר לחטאים לעוונות ולפשעים
שחטאתי לפניך, אני וביתי
ואם אדם היה יכול לזכור
את הפגמים, את החסרונות
את כל הפשעים
את כל העוונות

בטח כך היה מונה
אחת, אחת ואחת, אחת ושתיים
אחת ושלוש, אחת וארבע, אחת וחמש
ישר היה מתייאש
כי לא יכול היה לשאת
את טעם המרירות, החטא
את הבושה, את הפספוס
את ההפסד

והכהנים והעם העומדים בעזרה
כשהיו שומעים את שם ה' המפורש
יוצא מפי כהן גדול
היו כורעים, משתחווים ונופלים על פניהם
בָּרוּךְ שֵם כְּבוֹד מַלְכוּתוֹ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד

פסע למקום שפסע
פניו לקודש, אחוריו להיכל
ללא רבב היו שווים פיו ומעשיו
בא ממקום שהוא בא
והלך למקום שהלך
פשט בגדי לבן
לבש בגדי זהב

וכך היה אומר
אנא ה′ כפר לחטאים, לעוונות ולפשעים
שחטאתי לפניך, אני וביתי
ואם אדם היה יכול לזכור
את החסדים, את הטובות
את כל הרחמים
את כל הישועות

בטח כך היה מונה
אחת, אחת ואחת, אחת ושתיים
אחת מאלף אלפי אלפים ורב רבי רבבות
נסים נפלאות
שעשית עמנו
ימים ולילות

והכהנים והעם העומדים בעזרה

יוצא מפי כהן גדול
היו כורעים, משתחווים ונופלים על פניהם

יצא ממקום שיצא
ורעד במקום שעמד
פשט בגדי זהב
לבש בגדי עצמו
וכל העם והכהנים
היו מלווים אותו לביתו
ויום טוב לאוהביו
כִּי נִסְלַח לְכָל עֲדַת יִשְׂרָאֵל

כשהיו שומעים את שם ה' המפורש

היו כורעים, משתחווים ונופלים על פניהם
בָּרוּךְ. שֵם. כְּבוֹד. מַלְכוּתוֹ. לְעוֹלָם. וָעֶד

Seder Ha'avoda Live

He comes to the place where he came
And stands in the place where he stood
Washes his hands, his feet
Dips, comes up, and dries himself
Comes from the place from which he came
And goes to the place to which he went
Takes off his everyday clothes
Puts on white clothes

And thus he would say
Please, God, forgive my sins, my iniquities, and my transgressions
Which I committed before you, I and my household
And if a man could remember
The flaws, the shortcomings
All the crimes
All the sins

Surely he would thus enumerate
One, one and one, one and two
One and three, one and four, one and five
He would surely despair
For he could not bear
The taste of the bitterness, the sin
The shame, the failure
The loss

And the priests and the people standing in the courtyard
When they would hear the explicit name of God
Coming from the mouth of the High Priest
Would kneel, bow down, and fall on their faces
BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE GLORY OF HIS KINGDOM FOR EVER AND EVER

Steps to the place where he stepped
His face towards the sanctuary, his back towards the porch
His words and his deeds were without blemish
Comes from the place from which he came
And goes to the place to which he went
Takes off his white clothes
Puts on golden clothes

And thus he would say
Please, God, forgive my sins, my iniquities, and my transgressions
Which I committed before you, I and my household
And if a man could remember
The deeds of lovingkindness, the goodnesses
All the mercies
All the salvations

Surely he would thus enumerate
One, one and one, one and two
One out of a thousand thousands and thousands of many thousands
Miracles and wonders
Which you performed with us
Days and nights

And the priests and the people standing in the courtyard
When they would hear the explicit name of God
Coming from the mouth of the High Priest
Would kneel, bow down, and fall on their faces
BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE GLORY OF HIS KINGDOM FOR EVER AND EVER

Goes out from the place from which he went
And trembles in the place where he stood
Takes off his golden clothes
Puts on his own clothes
And all the people and the priests
Would accompany him to his house
And a happy day for his loved ones
FOR HE PARDONS THE ENTIRE CONGREGATION OF ISRAEL
