אתמול חלפו הציפורים בתוך העיר,
כנערות בתוך ראשי.
אל תכעסי עלי בגלל שמות רבים

בדרך כלל אני זהיר.
כדאי להתכופף אפילו בחלום,
ולהגיד שלא ידעתי,
אבל אתמול חלפו הציפורים...

אתמול חלפו הפרשים בתוך ראשך.
ידך היתה כמו סכין.
איני כועס עכשיו בגלל שמות רבים שלא ידעתי.
כאב כזה אינו נושך.
אפילו בחלום כדאי להתכופף.
הלא הרגשת בי כשבאתי,
אבל אתמול חלפו הפרשים...

היום חלפו העננים מעל העיר,
כמו נוצות של מלאכים.
ולא כעסנו עוד בגלל החלומות

אבל בפנים היה קריר.
