שקט הלכתי ברחוב המתפתל מפה לשם
פגשתי אלף עקרונות שלא סובלים אף בן אדם
ראיתי עץ וצמרתו שהתווכחו סתם ביניהם

ואז עצרתי לברר מה הקולות שבראשי
כאב הראש טרח לומר: "זה עבודה, זה לא אישי"
שוב אני רעב ואין כאן מסעדה
בחור שמן אומר לי הצטרף לצעדה

אז בתחושת היסוס הלכתי בין המון בתי השחי
שאלתי: "מה המטרה?"
אז השמן אומר לי:

גם אני פה במקרה
זה לא מקרה שאני כאן
כולם דוחפים, קוראים בשם
מתחת לשלטים המון אדם
וגם אני שם ביניהם
ומתפלא שלא נרדם
מתפלא שלא נרדם

עוצר לנוח לי בצד, מסתבר בצד הכי קשה
אתה חייב לנקוט עמדה, אחרת לא תשנה
רודפי אני ואחרים לא יעזבו אותי בשקט
אני צעיר עוד בשנים וכבר צריך ללכת
ובטעות אני צודק ובאמת אני שיקרתי
עומד עירום, עושה תנועות על כל מה שלא אמרתי

Can't Fall Asleep

I quietly walked down the winding street from here to there
I met a thousand principles that couldn't stand anyone
I saw a tree and its crown arguing about nothing
Where am I and where are they?

And then I stopped to find out what were the voices in my head
My headache bothered to say: "It's work, it's not personal"
I'm hungry again and there's no restaurant here
A fat guy tells me to join the march

So with a sense of hesitation I walked among the crowd of armpits
I asked: "What's the point?"
So the fat guy tells me:

I'm here by accident too
It's no accident that I'm here
They're all pushing, calling each other's names
There's a lot of people under the signs
And I'm there among them
And I wonder why I can't fall asleep

I stop to rest on the side, apparently on the hardest side
